They’re essential to our products and we use them as a positive tool – a third party that guarantees that what we’re saying about our products is the truth. Likewise, our certifications emphasize our products’ quality, effect and environmental impact – and they’re good benchmarks for you as a consumer.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official Nordic environmental label. The aim of the label is to reduce the impact on the environment for the benefit of humans, animals and the Earth’s resources. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel looks at the entire product. From raw ingredients to production, use, disposal and recycling the packaging. When you choose a product carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, you help to drive product development in a more sustainable direction.
To be awarded this label, a product must meet a range of stringent requirements in all applicable phases of its life cycle as well as in the chemicals it uses.
- Hair and skincare products carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel do not contain MI or other preservatives classified as allergenic.
- They do not contain any components found on the EU’s list of substances suspected of being endocrine disruptors and do not contain microplastic.
- Stringent requirements are further made of care product packaging in terms of volume and packaging type.

COSMOS is a common European certification of organic cosmetics which is used in more than 45 countries.
- Products carrying the COSMOS label must state the percentage of natural ingredients and organics.
- To be awarded the COSMOS Organic label, a product must have 95% natural ingredients.
- A minimum of 10% of the ingredients in products that can be washed off and a minimum of 20% of ingredients in products that cannot be washed off must be organic.
- Finally, a minimum of 95% of the natural oils and extracts in the product must be organic.
COSMOS is also a guarantee that ingredients are grown responsibility and with respect for the environment.

Lip Balm Kit, Kids Sun Lotion, Inner Care and Mommy & Me are certified with the international AllergyCertified label.
- These products contain no known allergens or allergenic preservatives.
- Every single ingredient has been assessed by a toxicologist.
- The products are 100% fragrance-free.

The Asthma-Allergy Nordic label, also called ‘the blue wreath’, makes it easy to avoid unnecessary chemicals and minimize the risk of allergic reaction and the development of allergies.
- Labelled products contain no substances that frequently trigger allergies.
- Labelled products contain no perfume, MI or formaldehyde.

By far the majority of Rudolph Care products carry the Vegan Trademark label – with the exception of a few products that contain natural beeswax, honey, pullulan (made with enzymes from egg and milk), lanolin and/or carmine.
We are very conscious of our use of these ingredients. We only buy certified organic honey extract and beeswax. The lanolin is exclusively a by-product from wool production, and the ingredient, carmine, that adds a red color to our Marie lipgloss, is of natural origin and food-grade standard - just like every other ingredient in our lip products.
It is and has always been a matter of course that we do not test our products on animals. In fact, we are very happy to test them on ourselves.
I 2021 fik Rudolph Care virksomhedscertificeringen B Corp. Den er vi stolte af. Rudolph Care blev grundlagt ud fra et ønske om at fremme bæredygtighed i skønhedsbranchen og at bidrage til positiv forandring i verden. Vores B Corp-certificering er et vigtigt værktøj til det formål.
For at blive godkendt som B Corp-virksomhed bliver man som ansøger målt på en lang række parametre, der vurderer virksomhedens indsats fra inderst til yderst. Alle certificerede B Corps har det som erklæret mål at leve op til meget høje standarder over for både individ og samfund. Uanset hvad, man beskæftiger sig med, vil man som B Corp-virksomhed være de bedste for verden.
B Corps gør mere end bare at lægge planer – vi handler aktivt for selv at være den forandring, vi ønsker at se i verden. Det betyder, at vi stiller skrappe krav til klimahensyn og ordentlige arbejdsforhold gennem hele værdikæden. Generelt arbejder vi som virksomhed på hele tiden at blive bedre. At blive B Corp certificeret er nemlig blot det første skridt på en lang rejse.
Rudolph Care var I 2022 founding member af the B Beauty Coalition. Et internationalt fællesskab af ligesindede B Corps i skønhedsindustrien, som deler viden og driver projekter sammen. How we choose certifications
Rudolph Care creates exclusive and advanced beauty products that prioritize sustainability as a crucial part of our care for both people and the environment. That is why by far the majority of our products are certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in unique combination with the Ecocert COSMOS Organic label. None of our products contain any of the 26 known fragrance allergens that the EU recommends we avoid.
This double certification is your guarantee that the content and packaging of every single product has been carefully selected on the basis of cultivation, processing, production, working conditions and packaging that meets stringent environmental and health-related standards.
We always develop our products to meet the standards of our core certifications – the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and Ecocert COSMOS Organic – but unfortunately it is not always possible to attain both. That’s why our work with certifications also relies on informed choices that can always be accounted for. These choices must unite our responsible approach with all the things we believe good beauty products should be.

In 2021 Rudolph Care became a certified B Corp. To become a B Corporation, the applicant is assessed based on the corporation’s internal and external efforts. All certified B Corps has a common declared goal to live up to the highest standards for both the individual and society. No matter the profession of the organization, a B Corp wants to be the best for the world. In other words: Rudolph Care was made to become a B Corp.
When producing textiles, we always strive to use materials certified by GOTS, Global Organic Textile Standard. This guarantees that the materials we work with are responsibly and organically produced, from harvest to the finished fabric.
It's complex and challenging to develop products and combine certifications. This is because each label has its own priorities. Some certifications are especially difficult to combine. For example, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and Ecocert COSMOS Organic are very different as they set requirements for different parameters. COSMOS is very much concerned with the origin of ingredients whereas the Nordic Swan Ecolabel concentrates on the biodegradability of ingredients, the finished product and packaging. Rudolph Care constantly balances certifications, ingredient lists and a product’s properties. That is why our product development is never complete until we are satisfied with the combination and balance of these three parameters. It is in this continuous balance that Rudolph Care finds its strength and differentiates itself significantly on quality.
